Information
This is our ragdoll kitten information page, where you can learn more about the ragdoll cat breed; as well as, learning about our ragdoll kitten health guarantees, pricing, authenticity, feeding and other vital information—we have ragdoll kittens for sale in NC!
Health Guarantees:
Each ragdoll kitten is examined by my veterinarian before leaving for his / her new home. All ragdoll kittens for sale will also be eating well and will be litter trained. The kittens are FELV/FIV negative and they will have had, at least, their first FVRCP (better known as Distemper) vaccination. Kittens are sold with a two year from birth genetic health guarantee. Should your kitten develop any congenital or genetic defects, it must be verified in writing by a licensed veterinarian and if for any reason the kitten should die an autopsy from an accredited laboratory must be furnished and the ragdoll kitten will be replaced with a healthy kitten of same quality as soon as possible. Even though my vet examines all of my ragdoll kittens prior to their leaving, a new buyer should take the kitten to their own veterinarian within the first 3 days of sale if they are in anyway concerned about the kitten’s health. Within this time frame you have a money back guarantee should your veterinarian put in writing, saying that you do not have a healthy ragdoll kitten. Please keep in mind that ragdoll kittens may come down with a minor cold or eye infection due to the stress of moving.
All ragdoll kittens for sale are registrable with TICA (The International Cat Association) and CFA (Cat Fanciers Association). Pet kitten buyers will receive a registration with one of the above registries. Pet quality kittens are $2500 and up. The price includes neuter/spay, age appropriate distemper vaccine/s, worming, vet check and registration paper. Breeder or show kittens are also priced individually. In order to hold a ragdoll kitten for you, I require a $500 deposit for a pet kitten and $1000 deposit for a breeder/show kitten. If you are on the waiting list and have not chosen a particular ragdoll kitten, the deposit check is not cashed and is returnable. The deposit is to show that someone is really serious about purchasing a kitten. Once a particular kitten is chosen and on hold for you, then the deposit check is cashed and it is not refundable at that point. We sell ragdoll kittens North Carolina—see our available ragdoll kittens for sale in NC page.
Update: I am not keeping a waiting list at this time. I post pictures of the kittens on the Facebook page and this website when they are available to be reserved.
Authenticity:
Always make sure that you can receive registration papers from the breeder for your kitten. If you can’t, then you are probably dealing with an unethical breeder or a mixed breed cat. If a kitten is not registered as a Ragdoll then I seriously doubt that you would be purchasing a pure Ragdoll. There are some people who breed cats just as a hobby, who think that if a cat has a Ragdoll disposition, that it is called a Ragdoll. This is completely false. A Ragdoll is a registered breed all in its own right! There are also breeders who purchase cats as unaltered pets, not as a breeder. They then breed these cats and sell kittens. They do not have the background or pedigrees on these cats and they really don’t care if they are a correct breeding pair. They cannot receive papers on these kittens because they do not have breeding rights. Beware of these type breeders. They may sell their kittens cheaper, but you don’t really know how healthy they are genetically and you probably have a breeder who will not guarantee the kitten.
Please do not declaw!
Declawing involves amputating the last joint of the cat’s toes. It is an irreversible surgical procedure. Providing a scratching post for your kitten and clipping his nails every 2 or 3 weeks is all you need to do.
Feeding:
At AllStarRags we have Nutro Wholesome Essentials dry food continually available for the cats and kittens. Fresh water is also available at all times.
Poisons:
Ingesting foreign materials can cause vomiting, diarrhea and even death. Tylenol, antifreeze and a number of house plants are poisonous to cats.
